Felszeichnung eines Rentiers mit Eingeweiden Auf dem Foto ist ein rot gezeichnetes Rentier auf grauem Fels abgebildet. Seine inneren Organe sind im hinteren Teil des Körpers angedeutet. Die Zeichnung des Tieres nimmt nahezu den gesamten Bildraum des Querformats ein. Von der länglichen Schnauze bis zur Schwanzspitze misst sie etwa 25 Zentimeter. Das Rentier ist in Seitenansicht dargestellt. Der erhobene nach vorn gereckte Kopf ragt in die linke Bildhälfte hinein. Daran sitzt das mächtige asymetrisch verzweigte Geweih. Es besteht aus zwei Geweihstangen. Eine weist nach vorn, die andere, mit etlichen Verzweigungen, in einem Bogen nach rechts in die Höhe bis fast zum oberen Rand des Fotos. Dem schmalen Kopf schließt sich ein langer kräftiger Hals an. Auch er ist, wie der Kopf, das Hinterteilund der kurze kräftige schwanz, vollständig rot ausgemalt. Im Brustbereich deuten sechs senkrechte rote Striche die Rippen an, durchbrochen vom Grau der dahinter befindlichen Felswand. Rechts daneben verweisen rote Farbflächen mit unregelmäßigen Rändern, verbunden mit waagrechten und senkrechten Linien auf die inneren Organe des Tiers. Der Vorderlauf ist mit einem durchgehenden roten Strich dargestellt, der sich zum Huf hin verjüngt. Der Huf selbst ist durch einen Kreis verdeutlicht. Beim Hinterlauf ist der sich zum Huf verjüngende Strich weitestgehend unterbrochen. Angedeutet ist sein Ansatz am Hinterleib und am Huf. Links oben auf dem Foto verweisen schräg verlaufende dunkle Linien auf Risse im Fels, ebenso an seinem rechten Rand. — — Rock Drawing of a Reindeer with Entrails The photo shows a red reindeer drawn on a grey rock. Its internal organs are indicated in the rear part of its body. The drawing of the reindeer takes up almost the entire space of the photo in horizontal format. It measures about 25 centimetres from the elongated snout to the tip of the tail. The reindeer is shown in a side view. The raised head is stretched forward and protrudes into the left half of the photo. The powerful asymmetrically branched antlers are attached to it. The reindeer has two antlers: one antler points forward; the other antler has several branches and curves upwards to the right and almost to the upper edge of the photo. The narrow head is joined by a long strong neck. Similar to the head, the rump and the short strong tail are completely painted in red. In the chest area, six vertical red lines indicate the ribs, broken by the grey of the rock face behind. To the right, red-coloured areas with irregular edges, connected by horizontal and vertical lines, indicate the reindeer’s internal organs. The foreleg is depicted with a continuous red line tapering towards the hoof. The hoof itself is indicated by a circle. On the hind leg, the line tapering towards the hoof is largely interrupted. Its base is indicated on the abdomen and on the hoof. At the top left of the photo, diagonal dark lines indicate cracks in the rock, likewise at its right edge.

The large antlers indicate that this is a reindeer bull. The vertical lines in the front part of the torso may represent the ribs and the complex set of lines and circles in the back part of the torso may illustrate the intestines. The engraved parts of the images have been painted red to make it more visible to the public. At the time when the drawing was originally made, the rock surface would have had the natural reddish-brown colour caused by iron film (Tansem & Storemyr 2021), and the engraved lines would have stood out as greyish in colour, almost the opposite of what we experience by looking at this photo. The carving is ca. 25 cm long.
