Der Darm — Auf dem Farbfoto ist eine Skulptur in Form eines Darms festgehalten. Das Kunstwerk ist von oben fotografiert. Es liegt auf einer Rasenfläche mit kurzem Gras. Das lange Gebilde aus Glasfaserkunststoff ist in eine Schlinge gelegt, wobei sich einige Abschnitte überlappen. Seine Enden verjüngen sich stark. Eines der Enden weist einen kleinen hakenähnlichen Fortsatz auf. Daneben befindet sich eine Runde Öffnung mit einem kragenartigen Rand. Sie bildet den Übergang zum Dünndarm, der kein Teil dieser Skulptur ist. Im weiteren Verlauf der Skulptur verdichtet sich ihre Struktur, so dass sie wie in ein weitmaschiges Netz gepresst erscheint. Seine Oberfläche ragt in Kurven hervor und bildet blasenartige Formen. Das andere Ende erinnert in Form und Struktur an einen Elefantenrüssel. Die Farbe der Skulptur der tschechischen Künstlerinnen changiert zwischen Grau, Violett und Türkis. Die durchschnittliche Höhe des Kunstwerks entspricht ungefähr der Größe eines Vorschulkindes. An der Stelle, an der Teile des Darms übereinander liegen, dürfte das Gebilde etwa zwei Meter hoch sein. Die künstlerische Nachbildung des Dickdarms befand sich zwischen 2020 und 2022 am Schillerplatz, einer Parkanlage in Chemnitz. —— The Gut — This colour photograph displays a sculpture in the shape of an intestine. The sculpture was created by Czech artists. The sculpture is photographed from above, from a bird-eyes view. The sculpture is lying on a lawn with short grass. The long structure is made of fibreglass and is laid in a loop, with some overlapping sections. Its ends taper sharply. One of the ends has a small hook-like projection and next to it is a round opening with a collar-like edge. This forms the transition to the small intestine, which is not part of this sculpture. As the sculpture continues, its structure thickens, so much so that it appears as if pressed into a wide-meshed net. Its surface protrudes with curves, forming bubble-like shapes. The shape and structure of the other end is reminiscent of an elephant's trunk. The colour of the sculpture varies between grey, violet, and turquoise. The average height of the artwork is about the size of a preschool child. At the point where parts of the intestine lie on top of each other, the structure is probably about two metres high. The artistic replica of the colon was located at Schillerplatz, a park in Chemnitz, between 2020 and 2022.

Das Werk des Aristoteles/ Von der Beobachtung zum Text Die Montage im Hochformat zeigt einen Haken aus Metall, eine szenische Darstellung einer Tieropferhandlung und den Teil eines Manuskripts. Im Vordergrund befindet sich der Haken. Er hat einen flachen eckigen Schaft, der sich zur Spitze hin verjüngt. An seinem vorderen Ende ist das Metall in einem rechten Winkel nach oben gebogen. Etwa ab der Krümmung wird der Schaft rund. Die raue Oberfläche weist eine grüngraue und braune Färbung auf. Die Spitze des Hakens ragt von unten in die Darstellung der Opferhandlung. In der Szene kniet ein muskulöser junger Mann mit nacktem Oberkörper hinter einem auf dem Rücken liegenden Rind. Mit einem Haken hat er Eingeweide aus dem Tierkörper gezogen. Sie sind als beutelförmige Gebilde auf der Bauchdecke des Tieres liegend dargestellt. Hinter dem Mann stehen sieben weitere Männer. Alle haben kurz gelockte Haare, einige Bart. Einer mit nacktem Oberkörper trägt eine Axt über seiner Schulter und eine Kanne in der Hand. Neben ihm hält einer in langem fließendem Gewand einen Stock. Der junge Mann und das Rind sind in hellen Grautönen dargestellt, die Männer hinter ihm in dunklem Grau. Im oberen Drittel der Montage, über den Köpfen der Männer, befindet sich der Teil aus dem Manuskript. Unter einer Überschrift in roten griechischen Großbuchstaben folgen Zeilen in schwarzen Kleinbuchstaben. Die Abstände zwischen den Wörtern und Zeilen sind sehr gering. Nach unten und rechts außen verblasst der Text. Am linken Rand neben dem Fließtext und der Überschrift ist ein Ornament in Rot angebracht, das an eine Initiale erinnert. Dieses Objekt steht in engem Zusammenhang mit dem 3D-Modell des Verdauungssystems nach Aristoteles. — — The Work of Aristotle/ From Observation to Text The montage in portrait format shows a metal hook, a scenic representation of an animal sacrifice, and part of a manuscript. The rough surface has a green-grey and brown colouring. The tip of the hook protrudes from below in the depiction of the sacrificial act. In the scene, a muscular young man with a naked torso kneels behind a cow lying on its back. He has pulled the intestines out of the animal's body with a hook. They are depicted as pouch-like formations lying on the animal's abdominal wall. Seven other men are standing behind the young man. All have short curly hair, some are bearded. One with a bare torso carries an axe over his shoulder and a jug in his hand. Next to him, a man in long flowing robes holds a stick. The young man and the cow are depicted in light shades of grey, the men behind them in dark grey. In the upper third of the montage, above the heads of the men, is the part from the manuscript. Under a heading in red Greek capitals follow lines in black lowercase. The spacing between the words and lines is very small. The text fades towards the bottom and the far right. On the left margin next to the continuous text and the heading, is an ornament in red, reminiscent of an initial. This object is closely related to the 3D model of “Aristotle's Digestive System.”

Verstrickungen mit Torshi Nr. 2 — Das quadratische Gemälde zeigt vier hockende Frauen, die nur mit einem Slip bekleidet sind. Verbunden sind sie durch rosafarbene schlauchartige Gebilde. Das bild ist mit Öl und Torshi auf Leinen gemalt. „Torshi“ wird mit dem Saft von hausgemachten Torshi-Gurken hergestellt, die rosa-mauve Farbe für die Bemalung verwendet wird. Körperform, Hautton und Kleidung sind bei allen Frauenfiguren relativ identisch. Sie haben kräftige Oberschenkel, schmale Taillen, schlanke Arme und kleine Brüste. Die Haut aller Frauen ist hell creme-braun. Die Slips sind blau, weiße Linien bilden ein Rautenmuster darauf. Auch die Gesichter mit den breiten Augenbrauen, geraden Nasen und kleinen Mündern ähneln sich. Sie wirken maskenhaft. Rosa Schlauchgebilde ersetzen die Haare und teilweise die Köpfe. Die vier Frauenfiguren nehmen jede eine identische Fläche auf dem cremefarbenen Untergrund ein. Drei sind in Ecken platziert, die Frau links unten ist ein Stück weit in die Bildmitte gerückt. Sie hat dem Betrachtenden den Rücken zugekehrt, ihre Beine sind gespreizt. In beiden Händen hält sie zwei Stränge des schlauchartigen Gebildes an ihrem Hinterkopf. Die Frauen in der oberen Bildhälfte sind dem Betrachtenden zugewandt, auch ihre Beine sind gespreizt. Die Frau links sieht geradeaus. Three are placed in corners, and the woman at the bottom left has moved a little way into the centre of the picture. She has her back turned to the viewer and her legs are spread. In both hands, she holds two strands of the tube-like structure at the back of her head. The women in the upper half of the picture are facing the viewer, their legs are also spread. The woman on the left is looking straight ahead. She is holding one tube against her head and another in front of her. The woman on the right keeps her gaze lowered. The pink loops on her head seem to weigh her down. In her hands, she holds another hose that leads in loops and loops to the head of the woman in the lower right corner of the picture. Squatting, she has her head and shoulder clamped between her legs. From her hands the hose runs to the lower edge of the picture and out of frame.

Ihr rechter Arm hängt über die Tischkante herab. Die Hand berührt den Boden. Der Bauchraum ist geöffnet. Er erscheint dunkel. Eine kleine brennende Kerze ist in den Brustkorb des Leichnams am unteren Ende des Brustbeins eingelassen. Hinter dem Kopfende des Tisches kniet einer der Männer. Mit der rechten Hand hat er sich auf einen Zirkel gestützt. Die Enden des Zirkels stehen auf dem Boden. Den linken Arm hat er in Richtung des anderen Mannes am Fußende des Tisches ausgestreckt. Sein Oberkörper scheint unbekleidet zu sein. Er trägt einen Schurz und einen flachen Hut mit breiter Krempe. Kopf und Hals des Mannes sind schwarz gezeichnet. Gesichtszüge sind nicht zu erkennen. Der Mann am Fußende sitzt auf einem Hocker. In seiner linken Hand hält er die Spitze eines Dreieckslineals, dass über seine Schulter ragt. Den rechten Arm hat er ausgestreckt. Die Hand befindet sich in der Bauchhöhle der Leiche. Der Mann trägt ein Oberteil mit gepolsterten Ärmelansätzen an den Oberarmen. Ein flacher Hut mit breiter Krempe beschattet Teile seines Gesichts. —— Bernardino Capitelli, Anatomical Dissection, ca. 1604-1639 — This black-and-white etching in landscape format is a copy and shows two men with measuring instruments at a table. A corpse is lying on it. The table is as long as the cadaver lying on it and consists of a plate on two low trestles. The corpse is lying on its back. There is a small lit candle inserted into the corpse’s ribcage at the bottom of the sternum. Behind the head of the table, one of the men is kneeling. With his right hand, he has supported himself on a compass. The ends of the compass are on the floor. His left arm is stretched out towards the other man at the foot of the table. His upper body appears to be unclothed. He is wearing an apron and a flat hat with a wide brim. The man's head and neck are heavily etched in black. His facial features are not visible. The man at the foot of the table is sitting on a stool. In his left hand, he is holding the tip of a triangular ruler that is sticking out over his shoulder. His right arm is stretched out and his hand is in the corpse’s abdominal cavity. The man is wearing a top with padded sleeve attachments on the upper arms. A flat hat with a wide brim shades parts of his face.
